The inaugural Drink Easy Awards came to a close with a three-day blind tasting of wine, beer and cider, spirits and – in an Australian first – non-alcoholic beverages.
There were 11 wine categories, including sparkling white and red wines; pét-nat; rosé; vermouth, aromatised and fortified; and skin-contact and orange wines. For both white and red wines, the categories were light and refreshing, medium bodied and textural, and full flavoured.
