The Zantho Story
The foundation was laid in the beginning of the millennium by Josef Umathum, successful winemaker from Frauenkirchen, and oenologist Wolfgang Peck together with chosen members from the cooperative Domaine Andau. Today they cultivate around 80 ha of vineyards in Burgenland focusing on sustainable and environmentally friendly working methods.
Zantho Wines
The grapes grow in vineyards in the wine region Neusiedlersee which is characterized by dry, gritty and mineral soils. The region counts to the warmest and driest spots in Austria and gives therefore ideal conditions for the production of wonderfully distinctive red wines.
