Along the Great Ocean Road
We’ve just spent a couple of non-wine days exploring the coastal drive south west of Melbourne. It didn’t look very far on the map, and we massively underestimated how long it would take us to drivealong the Great Ocean Road to see the Twelve Apostles. By mid afternoon we were still nowhere near our destination but we were enthralled by the amazing scenery and seacapes.

Fortunately, the wonderfully helpful Gilbert of the Apollo Bay Youth Hostel found us a room and a couple of tooth brushes for an unscheduled overnight stop. The drive was well worth it; we arrived at these spectacular rock formations just before sunset.

This morning we came across a koala sitting in a tree overhanging the road. Forget the wine, we can now go home with our main objective achieved.
