Finesse and elegance; these are characters we, at Clark Foyster Wines, prize most highly in a wine. This explains, in large part, why most of the wines we have found to fit these descriptions come from cooler parts of Europe.
BUT NOT ALL ....
|KUMEU RIVER (Auckland, New Zealand) make sensational Chardonnay, slim in texture but with complex and mineral flavours; at least the match, in style and quality for much white Burgundy (and the wines age well too!)|
|MAC FORBES (Yarra Valley, Australia) has made his name with Pinot Noir, choosing the cool Upper Yarra Valley where he harvests early, making cool, pale-coloured intense single vineyard wines.|

Mac Forbes and Michael Brajkovich MW (winemaker and owner of Kumeu River) will be in London next month and have agreed to jointly host an event and talk about their wines.
LA TROMPETTE in Chiswick has recently re-opened, following a major refurbishment, Chef Rob Weston (previously running the 2 Michelin Star kitchen at The Square, in Mayfair) now installed as head chef. We had dinner there on Monday this week and the food was spectacular.
Putting these three artists together, we have come up with the following menu, which, we are sure, will make for a spectacular evening, matching great food and wine:

Mac and Michael will talk about their wines and we can compare and contrast their winemaking philosophies. They share many views, though I'm sure we'll find a few areas where their opinions differ.
